Sorry guys....I don't have a garden blog. Bet you wish I did!
:-)
Four pictures of my purple coneflowers in bloom. I just love them!
Salvia.
Then the guessing game on the next two. Anyone?
Of course there was a huge end of the season sale today on flowers....so that meant I had to get more. Which also meant I had to dig a bed for some sun perennials, because most of my darn yard is shade thanks to the 13 plus trees that I have. So I have a really really really sore back, 6 blisters and a tiny tiny tiny patch of dug up yard that will get at least 6 hours of sun! Yeah!
Oh and does anyone have a good homemade recipe on how to kill a black ant hill??????

You should have expected me to post again. I have some of the first one but don't know what it is - It is very cool but I guess I am stumped. The second is a bellflower. There are a lot of varieties of this - I have been trying to get more of this to grow at my place as it is one of my favorites. I may start doing this on my site - I threw down a ton of wildflower seeds this spring, stuff is getting ready to bloom and I have no clue what half of it is.
I know the first one! They are "Dayflowers" (each bloom lasts one day) and are considered weeds. When I was little I called them "mouse flowers" because they have two big blue ears and teeny yellow eyes!
Just Google "dayflowers" and you'll find out all there is to know!
Thanks Oak Park! I knew I could count on you. I live a sad life when I await comments on my blog about plants. But such is me! My neighbors' yards are sooo gorgeous and I'm such a novice.
Thanks "I" Dayflowers! Thanks!!!!!!
